Terms of Service

These terms govern use of EcoSip — the reusable cup network, consumer app, business dashboard, and this website. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are signing up for a café or chain, you confirm you are authorized to bind that business.
The service
EcoSip lets consumers register a reusable cup, pay a refundable deposit, refill at participating locations, and return the cup to close the deposit. Businesses use the dashboard to manage locations, inventory, team members, cup pre-orders, and software billing.
Accounts
- Provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including staff you invite.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the network, skip deposits, or attempt fraud.
Cups, deposits, and returns
- A registered EcoSip cup remains part of the shared network, even when co-branded with a café.
- Deposits are held to encourage return. Returning a cup through the network releases the deposit per the app's then-current rules.
- Lost, damaged, or unreturned cups may forfeit the deposit.
- Co-brand artwork does not transfer trademark rights; partner marks stay with their owners.
Business subscriptions
- Starter is billed per location, per month, for dashboard software (inventory, compliance, staff tools, pre-orders).
- Growth is billed per recorded cup use. Software fees apply when a cup event is recorded, not as a second charge on the consumer deposit.
- Scale and Enterprise are quoted separately. Requesting them is not a paid subscription until we confirm terms.
- Subscriptions renew until cancelled from Billing or in Stripe Customer Portal where available.
- Cup hardware and pre-order merchandise are separate from software subscription fees.
Acceptable use
Do not reverse-engineer the service, scrape partner data, interfere with scans or deposits, or use EcoSip to misrepresent another brand. Do not upload unlawful content.
Payments
Consumer cup purchases and business subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Taxes, if applicable, are added at checkout. Chargebacks for valid completed orders may result in account review.
Availability
We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Partner café hours, inventory, and participation can change.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, EcoSip is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or partner café operational issues. Our aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, or one hundred dollars, whichever is greater.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Material updates may also be noted in the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
